Cnut 0 Posted April 30, 2007 I finally got to the bottom of a squealing/whistling noise that was coming from my car when booting it under load. I originally thought there was a air leak somewhere on one of the induction hoses but how wrong I was! It turned out to be the fuel pump, it was making the usual humming noise that you would associate with a worn pump but after changing it the noise completely dissappeared :) Its strange because the noise definately sounded like it was coming from the engine bay :? So if your car is making a squealing or high pitched whistling noise under load - check your fuel pump! Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
