G60 4-1 manifold

Hi to all.I want to put 4-1 manifold in my g60.Is it just fit and go or i must do some fine tuning with ignition or else?I am wondering because my friend put that manifold on MK2 GTI and first car didnt go like it should so he do fine tuning with ignition and after that car pulls like a pig(thats how we say),but still car dont feel good on idle
