Starter motor

Hi guys,

 

first post :)

 

Recently bought a g60 and the starter motor has gone! Im wondering if its possible to use either another corrado's starter motor or even a golfs starter motor?!

 

Please advise!

Welcome to the forum...

 

Starters are more gearbox specific ie 020, 02A etc

 

The G60 originally came with 02A 911 023 A, E or F

 

This now supercedes to 02A 911 023 L or TX (where X means exchange)

 

Same starter used on several mk2 / mk3 Golfs and passats

 

If you plan on keeping the car then it's really worth buying a new exchange unit from VAG, pattern rebuilds are just not worth the hastle...
