A-J 0 Posted May 27, 2007 I have two broken springs at the front of my 16v, so I'm going to get a set of h & r springs to replace the venturas that are on at the moment. The car was lowered before I bought it so I have no idea how long ago it was done. What else should I replace while the shocks are off?

A-J 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Front and back? Best to go with VAG parts?
A-J 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Cheers, is it worth changing the bumpstops too?
andy 0 Posted May 28, 2007 For what they cost, yes. Unless your old ones are in vgc. Ref the top mounts and bearings, the bearings are only on the front struts but top mounts all round are a good idea.
A-J 0 Posted May 28, 2007 Thanks. I remember when changing suspension on my mk2 that I used G60 top mounts as they were better quality than the OE 8v. Does the same apply on the Corrado?
A-J 0 Posted May 28, 2007 I've done some more searching and I reckon I'll upgrade the top mounts to VR6 ones which are apparently a better design. There are some posts on this a few years back and part numbers are here http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17763&highlight=top%20mounts
