ace666 0 Posted May 27, 2007 hello i have just spent around 5 hours trying to sort out a problem with my rear breaks . i got rear discs , calipers, hand break cables and bearings wich i got from gsf . then having got the first disc off and then spotted some thing i was unawair of this beeing the abs speed sensor ring . how do i remove this to replace it on the new discs or do i need to get new ones .? are they still made ? and are they a vw only part . has any one else had this problem . regards adam Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
andy 0 Posted May 28, 2007 Its just pushed on over the centre of the disc. Its probably rusted on a bit if its been there a while, you need to very carefully lever it off. Get a screwdriver under the inner lip of the abs cage and work round gradually, levering against the disc, it should come eventually. Supercharged 2 Posted May 29, 2007 You really need new ones as they distort very easily... VW always recommend when buying new discs - £10 and should be instock as it's a common mk4 part...
