MPGs?

anyone know wot the average mpg is on a 1.8 16v? best ive had mine is only 25mpgs on the motorway, surely that cant be right. :shock:

that cant be i got my vr6 rado doing 43mpg at a constant 55mph :) :)

 

think yours should be doing 35mpg easy/??

 

it probably needs a service or there is something wrong???

This is frequently talked about on here....if often comes down to 'don't trust your MFA readout'. mine rarely reads above 28

If you want a more economic Corrado, sell the valver and buy a G60 or VR6 :)

with what he is getting now just by buying a cheap g60 or vr6, it would of paid for itself in a year!!!

hi m8.that does sound a little high, ive a 1.8 valver, ive had it read about 35-37 on long motorway trips and between 24-28 round town, but like its been mentioned you cant always trust the MFA.

 

i go on how many miles you get t the tank, it can sometimes make you feel a little better dependin on how heavy :lol:

I put £50 fuel in and thats took me 350 miles until i filled up with the needle just into the last quater.

Like i said my MFA never reads above 28, but that works out at around 32MPG and i still had more to go before the red so you could easily add another 2MPG onto that......
