Handbrake light dimly lit without handbrake on !? :?

Recommended Posts

When i put the ignition on in the G60...the handbrake light comes on albeit dimly. When im running the car its still lit up also.

And the handbrake still makes the light come on fully as it should so the switch is working obviously, weird? :?

Any idea's?

Check the brake fluid reserviour, ifthe fluid is low the light will come on dimly. If the level is good, check the low level switch that is in the top is ok.

Cheers mrB,fluid level is fine...so ill stick a spare cap/switch on and see if that cures it :D

I had the same thing on mine when i bought it but after running it for a little while it stopped. I think the guy who had it before me left it standing alot ie... moisture build up
