DUBST4R 0 Posted June 18, 2007 Hi guys, I recently had a mate of mine who plugged his VW diagnostic fault finding tool in, just to run a general check. The problem i have on the car is the abs light has recently come on. The above error codes came up which read as follows: 00561 - mixture adjustment control 00513 - Engine speed sensor GT28 - Idle rev too low/high or signal malnufunction. I spoke to another friend of mine who said generally the VW diagnostic readouts etc. are unreliable. Can anyone shed any light to the matter and if the read out is true, where these parts are located..? Are these common probs on VRs???
andy 0 Posted June 18, 2007 You need to interogate the braking system as well as the engine to find out the abs problem. The engine speed sensor code (iirc) you don't need to worry about. Its just because the engine is not running when tested. The other fault, mixture adaptation could be several things I think. I have that fault at the moment as well as a fault on the O2 sensor. I'm hoping a new O2 sensor will cure both...
