Dutch24V 0 Posted June 22, 2007 I have searched and cannot find a conclusive answer. When should the fuel pump come on (VR)? -With the ignition on, but engine not running? -Only when the engine is turning/running? Cheers, Dutch
Supercharged 2 Posted June 22, 2007 Hi mate, it should prime when key is turned for 2 secs to build up rail pressure... Then as you start the car the ECU waits for a signal from the Crank Sensor before it connects the FP relay, it will be on constantly then until you shut the engine off... On shut down it will then run on for a maximum of 10 mins...
Dutch24V 0 Posted June 22, 2007 Hi mate, OK, cheers for that. So if mine doesn't prime with the ignition in pos 1 then it's unlikely to work when the ignition is in pos2 and I try to start her? Might try it this evening just for the fun of it. I had read on vortex that it only runs when the engine is running. Dutch
