Water Leak...

91 G60 has been loosing water for a while - just got a lot worse and its from this pipe running from the side of the head...

Does the plastic flange type pipe need replacing and/or does it need a new gasket?? - Also anyone got the name/part number(s)for it

 

your help as ever would be appreciated...

I can't quite see if it is the super common place for it to go, but it looks like it is. Yep - get a new flange and gasket from VW, and obviously some fresh bottles of G12+ for the coolant change. Don't buy a pattern part.. it just doesn't last!

Just ask for the coolant flange on the side of the block for a G60 engine'd Corrado.. they should be able to find it soon enough on ETKA! :)

:D Thats the easy bit done then now you have to get the old one off an fit the new one which is a pain in the ass

with all that boost pipework in the way, also one of the metal coolent hoses is held on by the bottom bolt too :(

 

Its not too bad but not a 5 min job! best of luck
