Do you think you bent it then?? I don't - I reckon the caliper was completly siezed and that did it under hydraulic pressure...

hmm.........maybe,

I assumed I bent it when I was trying to retract the piston with g-clamp/retraction tool/screw driver etc.

This was because while i was doing that the piston didn't budge but the carrier somehow got pushed off the guide pins. :?

 

but I like your idea better.

Supercharged was right about th guide pins,they are only sold as part of the carrier kit.

 

The dealers ordered the wrong part.

All done.

Ordered a new carrier in the end.

 

When it came they had again ordered the wrong part even though I gave them the vehicle number ?!! :roll:

 

Anyway,I just took the guide pins out and re-used them with my old carrier.
