Supercharged 2 Posted July 18, 2007 Do you think you bent it then?? I don't - I reckon the caliper was completly siezed and that did it under hydraulic pressure...
dirtytorque 0 Posted July 18, 2007 hmm.........maybe, I assumed I bent it when I was trying to retract the piston with g-clamp/retraction tool/screw driver etc. This was because while i was doing that the piston didn't budge but the carrier somehow got pushed off the guide pins. :? but I like your idea better. dirtytorque 0 Posted July 19, 2007 Supercharged was right about th guide pins, they are only sold as part of the carrier kit. The dealers ordered the wrong part. Annoying. Anyone know of any good breakers on Berkshire?
dirtytorque 0 Posted July 21, 2007 All done. Ordered a new carrier in the end. When it came they had again ordered the wrong part even though I gave them the vehicle number ?!! Anyway,I just took the guide pins out and re-used them with my old carrier.
