AlgarveVR6 0 Posted July 19, 2007 Hi Was a member years ago, but my VR6 has only just come back to life after a years lay up. Quick question which is bugging me. On start up, hot or cold, no diference, I get a sooty exhaust discharge. Not oil, engine only just rebuilt and it was there before. The sootyness dissapears after 30 seconds or so. I have 2 ISV's and they both work, and they both make no difference. Any suggestions. One quick thing, a year or so ago, i changed the isv damper cos the old one blew up for some reason.
