The intercooler is a hard job to fit.

Depends on power output on the clutch, it can handle loads of power, quite a few high power cars run the standard set up including me.

Use vibratechnics engine mounts, many tuners sell them.

The custom FMIC on my car was round the £350 mark! Not bad considering it is huge????? Why not use the 20VT box as it has a nice shift action than the older boxes and it's ratio's fit the 20v motor! Have you got a loom sourced??? If not I can give you then number of the guy that did mine, you'll be suprised how much cheaper it is compared to qpeng!

what driveshafts do you use with the 20v box though, as they are 110mm flanges?

Use golf 110TDi output flanges with your std drive shafts! Dunno why Dec reckons it's expensive, £20(for the flanges) from a breakers
