swiftkid 1 Posted September 23, 2007 Right, I've just bought a set of second hand coilovers which are all fine and working great, fitted them today using the same topcap and rubber bung off my previous shocks (the front set) but now the top doesnt tighten up properly so theres a gap between the topcap and the bulkhead. Iv tried everything, the only thing i can think of is that the sunken part in the topcap is sunk too far or the rubber bung has worn and now is sitting too high up in the bulkhead. Has anyone else had this sort of problem before? I have a 1989 1.8 16v and the coilovers came off an early spec g60 i believe. Any help would be much appreciated. Supercharged 2 Posted September 23, 2007 You should always fit new top mounts while changing suspenbsion - with todays roads they tend to wear out before the shocks...
