TITAN 0 Posted November 12, 2007 I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!. I was on the motor way in my k reg G60 and it just started loosing power so i pulled over and the engine just died had a quick look under the bonnet found a plug lead loose got recoverd to to my mates garage so i replaced plugs leads rotor arm and cap still would not start. So checked timming thats all ok did a compression test all reading 100psi i know this is low but battery was getting flat! i changed the coil but still nothing i may change spark plugs again just if an off change they are faulty rare but worth a shot after this i dont know can any one help, o yer i have fuel a good spark 2 !!!! :( :( :( Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Yandards 0 Posted November 12, 2007 First thing I would do it get a decent battery in there and see if it fires. As the engine is turning over then I would suspect that the hall sender on the dizzy is broken as this is the only item on a G60 that will stop the engine starting in terms of bust sensors anyway. TITAN 0 Posted January 7, 2008 HAVE found out why my cars not running bottom pully had come loose so i re-timmed engine up! still would not start so did another compression test all under 50 psi so will have to take head off change bent valves. well gutted :( :( :( . TITAN 0 Posted January 10, 2008 YES has come loose and timming slipped has light valve marks on to of the pistons. I have stripped it down sending the head away to be cleaned and checked over and new valves lapped in all new seals have been claening all round the engine bay think ill send the s-charger away to be done to bit fed up but hay :?
