Recommended Posts

Thermostat on a G60 Corrado how long will it take me to do?

What the best way to tackle it? charger out or bumper off, or both?

Cheers

Paul

i did this last week.

I put the car on axel stands and then took front bumper off.

Just made life so much easier when I was draining the system in regards to getting access.

No pi$$ing about.

I also unbolted the pas pump and tie wrapped it out the way to give access to the screws on the plastic housing where the t'stat lives.

No need to touch the charger IMHO.

Simple job just about making room for yourself to work.

One thing to watch out for is the "hidden bolt" on the PAS pump bracket

once you have slackened off the PAS belt and removed all the bolts you can see

get your small socket extension bar with a *10mm (iirc) socket on and feel about above

the bracket (where you cant see!) untill you feel the bolt head, whip that sucker

out and you will see the plastic Thermostat cover.

Two small bolts and its off swap in your new Stat with a new rubber o-ring and

re-assemble job done :) give us a PM if you get stuck or have any further questions

Cheers

Dan
