Jim 2 Posted February 18, 2003 Good luck.. if its any consolation I recently passed without any problems at all :) The funny thing is, the tester said 'Smile, its only an MOT' - yeah, though not great if they decide that your car needs £500 of work doing to keep it road legal!! :)
G60Jet 1 Posted February 18, 2003 My Corrado Passed its ITV (spanish MOT) last week. they made me remove my window sunstrip that was really practicle, rather than stylish. but hey The bloke told me to park up outside after and remove it, so i know it had passed over wise it would of been remove that before the retest!! :D :)
joby 0 Posted February 19, 2003 Just had mine done (friday) past with flying colours, the tester even said youve got a tidy car there, I had to laugh as he was looking around the engine bay not knowing what size engine it had ( private plate ) to do the emissions he even asked me if it was a C60 ? Nice to know there prety rare aroun these parts ! 8) GOOD LUCK JIM
Scott 0 Posted February 19, 2003 Only a MOT he says... LOL :D Im bricking it - my VR6 goes in for its first ever MOT since I bought the car.... although given it a good check over still not sure if its going to pass.... my old 16V failed its first MOT and cost me about £400 to get through it... stuff like headlight, headlight switch, handbrake, etc..... but after that it went through two more MOT's without a problem!.... would have been three hopefully in Sept but my best mate wrote it off  Anyone know common failure points to watch on VR6 ? dan 0 Posted February 19, 2003 I had to change a CV boot on mine for its last MOT. (cost £25 fitted). I also had to change two CV boots for an MOT on my 16v C, a few years ago. So you should check them! Good Luck.
