CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted January 8, 2008 Helloooo there You would need the folowing mate. Gearbox,16v would be the most avalible and the mounts Flywheel + bolts Clutch Pedal box Clutch Master cylinder Slave clutch cylinder Clutch pipe. Gear cables and gear selector box complete with trim. Think the drive shafts should bolt straight on...? and add oil and enjoy :D
faz1763 0 Posted January 9, 2008 cheers dude, would i have to change any wiring or anything?? have you done an auto to manual change before?
Walesy 0 Posted January 9, 2008 Why don't you keep the engine (assuming it's fine) and put a manual gearbox in from an 8v, i'm sure you could pick one up easily/cheaply ? Here's a thread on changing from auto to manual: viewtopic.php?t=17155
DanVW 0 Posted January 9, 2008 Hi Mate, I know Tom (Toad on the forum) has two 16v Corrados that he is breaking so he may be able to sort you out with everything you need, he will even let you work off the parts with sexual favours if he really likes you ;-) Dan
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted January 9, 2008 cheers dude, would i have to change any wiring or anything?? have you done an auto to manual change before? I had miss read you first post about Engine and box!! Doh! Not sure about the wiring side mate on the engine, but the 16 lumps have very few wires to get it going and it would be best to get the hole engine and box with the contorll unit and retro fit it in aswell as using the additional bits to convert to Manual. I havent done an auto to manual before but have a good idea what it needs as ive retro fitted all kinds into all sorst and there is nothing to a raddo auto box. Good luck mate. faz1763 0 Posted January 16, 2008 i didnt think you could just change the gearbox, as i thought it goes directly into the engine and technically i thought the engine would be automatic as well, but it would save me about a million bucks and hassle if i could just change the gearbox, any advice would be appreciated walesy, an dan cheers but no cheers u guys down there might be into that stuff but i aint!! 8)
