kuipers23 0 Posted January 15, 2008 It does not happen all the time but annoys me when it does. Sometimes the throttle seems to stick open. When you dip the clutch the revs climb to 2000rpm and stay there. It also pulls the car along even when you don't have your foot on the throttle. I have checked the throttle cable and it is not sticking. It is definatly returning to the correct position. If I stop the engine then start it again it again the revs are normal. It might just be my imagination but it seems to do it when it is wet outside. Any ides on what it may be? Thanks in advance. It a 2.0 16v 1994 Corrado by the way. nocrap 0 Posted January 15, 2008 1 of 2 things....... either its the ISV on the right front side of the head, this can be disconnected and cleaned with carb cleaner. or its one of the 3 switches in the intake system which is stuck, 2 are on the throttle and are quite obvious the other is under the paddle on the air box. This can be accessed by removing the 1st pipe from the top of the air box.. good luck.
