Polished lip advice

Recently bought some BBS RX2s. They're in good nick with no curbing, however, as usual, the laquer on the polished lips has gone a little funny in places and needs attention. What's the best way of sorting this? Will I need to take the rims apart, rub down and re-polish the lips? What's the best laquer to use? Also, where do I get a key to undo the bolts?
