Is Air Con possible on a 1990 KR?

Recommended Posts

hi,

i own a 1990 KR (1.8 16v) corrado, which is the earlier interior etc., and i was wondering if it is possible to fit air con to it.

i'm well aware of the effort that would be required to fit it, but does anyone know if it is possible to transplant an air-con system onto it from a golf or something?

would it also work with the old style slider heat adjustment, just with an extra on/off AC switch?

your help will be much appreciated!

Rich.

If you're really desperate to have it, just source as US spec one which will have all the switches and everything you need.

I still use the button on the door for my "air-con"

Boost Monkey is quite correct.

You will need all the bits from a US Spec G60 though as the KR was never launched in the US. The heater control panel is still sliders but has more points on it, the heater motor is completely different.

Only snag will be mouting the motor, the KR needed a special bracket that you cant get anymore.
