taffyjenks 0 Posted March 20, 2008 I have a basic 1990 V W Corrado 1.8 16v and I put it into a garage to get the rear shocks replaced. When I first purchased the car I was told that parts were easy to obtain as the suspension was the same as a Golf Mk 2.The garage contacted me today and informed me that the wrong shockers had been delivered three times and they were now a special order and would not be available until after the easter holidays. Can anyone assist? Thanks for your time Tony Jenkins.
mr.ots 10 Posted March 20, 2008 I know the front suspension was from the MKII Golf but I think the rear was from the Passat, although I don't know if this included the shocks. I'm sure someone will confirm.
andy 0 Posted March 20, 2008 I would expect GSF or similar to have them on the shelf, they're MK2 stuff as far as I know too.
dr_mat 0 Posted March 21, 2008 Bit poor if your suppliers can't find any Corrado rear shocks, they are common as muck.
MK1Campaign 0 Posted March 21, 2008 They probably thought it was clever to order MK2 shocks instead of Corrado specific.
