Tracking Question

Recommended Posts

ok i have just had my coilovers fitted but havent lowered it yet, and the tracking is on its arse (again) should changing suspension naff it up like this or not? if not what could be wrong, had a new TRE for mot and tracking all redone, - needed steering rack re-aligning last time because it wasnt central then tracking. next question, should i have tracking done then lower it more or lower it then have tracking done! im thinking on the lines of play with it as i want then get it tracked as opposed to the other way :D

Yes. Any time you disconnect the shocks from the hub you will have to a) readjust the camber and b) readjust the tracking afterwards.

No shortcuts, do it right.

Lowering it shouldn't alter the tracking, but it will alter the *camber* again slightly so you should get it all finally adjusted when it's in it's final config ..
