andycowuk 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Hi, Not posted on here in a while, but have recently done something (that isnt new) that I think is worth confirming the benefit with everyone. My G60 was feeling a bit flat above 4k over the last few weeks, and I was starting to get that feeling that only corrados can give.... WTF this time.... I hadnt sprayed the charger with lube in too long, so took off the blank plate and intake and gave a good long squirt in both sides with the revs held slightly higher than idle. Went a drive after that, and its a huge improvement; the lube obviously helps the apex seals work better. Thats it. The difference is emence. Smilling from ear to ear again. Yandards 0 Posted April 8, 2008 The other option being dont delete the boost return ;) I think your comments just highlight the need to ensure proper maintenance on G's with this mod, hopefully you will not have dried the charger apex strips out too much and induced excessive wear. Sorry to be the bearer of more WTF this time bad news but I think its better to be aware of problems that might emerge rather than have them suddenly happen without warning. Riley 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Ive found that using the spray kind of makes having a ported charger pointless :? It accumalates and covers the porting of the charger in crap, and i thought the apex strips were self lubricating? Im not sure that vw intended for brand new engines at the time to breathe heavy and lubricate the charger? Neil.
