Adz The Rat 0 Posted June 12, 2008 Just got back from the wifes and as got to my house could hear a whirring sound under the car at the back. Im guessing fuel pump?? Does this mean its buggered? The car runs fine
dinkus 10 Posted June 12, 2008 If it's coming from the driver's side rear wheel type area, then yup - that'll be the fuel pump. Doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna die imminently, but it does mean it's seen better days.

If you've got a Pieburg one, you'll also need a new sender (it'll say VDO or Pieburg on the white bit in the top of the tank), bringing the total price up to about £150...
