16v Easy wire identification please

Its more likely that when the wire is on the sender, the wire isn't earthed to the bracket...and when a temp is reached, the sender then earths to the bracket/as does the wire,making contact... :)

 

I still can't find the bloody sender though :lol:

This afternoon I will look for the wire... anyway I don't see the point to cool the radiator coolant, as the water pump is not working when engine is off :shrug:

That sensor is not really there to cool the water, it's actually to keep the fuel lines cool so you don't get starting issues when you've parked up and it's hot. Hence it's position on the head.

 

I'd try to replace it if it were missing on mine.

Same could be said about the oil going through a turbocharger, but people still use turbo timers to cool the oil for a few minutes after the engine is switched off :salute:
