belfastfumanchu 0 Posted July 8, 2008 Depends what part of the country you get it done. I say go independant all the way - I expect you'll get quotes between £60-110.
Dec 1 Posted July 8, 2008 I'd say even £110 is being very optimistic!! Looking at £40'ish for a new belt + tensioner. Then I reckon you'll get charged for about 2hrs labour. Then more if you get the timing set/adjusted. I'd say it will cost about £200-£
belfastfumanchu 0 Posted July 8, 2008 I was just quoting for labour, sorry ! That was what youd pay over here anyway. I guess England is more expensive. (I paid £50 a few years ago)
Dec 1 Posted July 8, 2008 Yeah, I think labour rates have gone up quite a bit recently! Generally they seem to be around £60 p/h in a standard garage, and I've heard of £90 p/h at a dealer! It's not too bad a DIY job though, will only cost about £30 in parts, and there will be plenty of info on the forum! belfastfumanchu 0 Posted July 8, 2008 Aye they've gone up a bit, but it's not too bad over here. £45 an hour max unless your taking it to some boy who thinks he's an F1 mechanic. :D
Stryker 0 Posted July 8, 2008 just been down to my local garage and they said 150 if no problems arise so heres hoping! lol
