VEEDUBBED 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Allright guys, I'm having problems with the ABS on my 'raddo. I don't need the pump coming on every 5mins.to pressurerise the system so i'm wondering if 1 disables the pump by yanking out the pump fuse will 1 hit a brick wall 'cos the car won't break???,without the annoying pump on is it safe to drive?. Thanks.
boost monkey 0 Posted September 8, 2008 as the brakes aren't electronic I would say you will still be able to stop, the brakes may lock up though. it's just like driving with broken PAS: it's a bit different, but perfectly do-able. but i'll let someone confirm
dr_mat 0 Posted September 9, 2008 You can disable the abs system just by disconnecting one of the sensors. They're probably easier to get to than the fuse! The cable goes up the side of the front suspension turrets and there's a handy push-fit connector on each side.
