boost monkey 0 Posted October 6, 2008 You might want to post this up in the Forced Induction VR6 thread.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 6, 2008 I seem to remember stage 2 on the V9 (12psi) needed a 45mm pulley? Could be different for a V1. Is there a pulley sizing chart on Vortech's site? You can map around 268 cams but you would obviously get much better cylinder filling from low overlap turbo cams. I ran 12psi on 10:1 CR with no problems, and that wasn't even intercooled. Just water injection.
corrado9a 0 Posted October 6, 2008 uuupppss, my bad is not a V1 but a small V9, what was i thinking... i wish.... sorry. No, in VF site they have no pulley size charts, but as they state stage 1 is 6 PSI, stage 2 is 8 PSI, and 3 is 9.5I but i am not sure if that is an accurate number for stage 3 or not with all the plumbing and intercooler head losses in the way. Would that be at the compressor exit or at the intakes entrance? Watter injection may be another option too, i will have to look into that instead of intercooling. jamminvr6storm 0 Posted October 8, 2008 I believe 45mm OD is 15psi viewtopic.php?f=1&t=68232
corrado9a 0 Posted October 8, 2008 thanks for the info. I posted a similar question in Vortex but i think is safer to go and ask directly to the source. Thanks again
