OBD2 Conversion some help needed!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone im quite new on this site and this is my first post, as im more of a reader than a poster anyway lets get bk to the point!

Im currently in the middle of an obd2 conversion on a mates 92 rado vr6, i am doin a complete engine and loom conversion for him and the donor car is a 96 obd2 passat vr6.

ive got both the obd1 and obd2 main looms out of the car and i think ive got most of these wires sorted except for a few, but the main problem where i may need a bit of help is the wiring for the transponder and the obd2 16pin diagnostic connector.

ive been researching on this for a while now and ive read the write up on vw vortex and corrado club of canada and they were both very helpfull ive also read a few bits on here but i cant seem to find much info on the transponder and diagnostic wiring side of things. i know you can get the transponder by-passsed but id like to fit it if its not that difficult and also it can save my mate some costs which he could spend else where.

I know from what ive read that a few people on this site have done this conversion so any help/info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance Luke
