mikehiow 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Went for my MOT today, which passed after a CV boot, however, now the wheel where the cv boot was done is about 10deg toeing out. I can't see any reason why they would have needed to touch the trackrod, is there something else that could have factored in to this? The car will be going back to the garage to be sorted, but it's unsafe to drive back there really, I'm going to attempt to straighten it up myself, could just use a little heads up. davidwort 0 Posted February 2, 2009 if the camber is wrong it will affect all the geometry a bit, they should have at least marked where the susp leg bolts were before removal, should have got it about right when they put it back together... obviously they didn't. get a spirit level and adjust the susp leg bolts until the camber is about vertical or slightly negative, then get the garage to set it up properly on 4 wheel alignment Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mikehiow 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Yeah, camber seems to make sense; I had very limited tools this evening, so didn't bother with the camber - I managed to track it out, it's drivable now, the garage that done it will have to substitute towards 4WA/Tracking I think.
