mikehiow 0 Posted February 5, 2009 Should I be using on 16" wheels? The tyres supplied with the car are 55 profile, and scrub quite badly. Wheels are ET7.
Supercharged 2 Posted February 5, 2009 What car do you have?? - sound like MK4 type profiles.. ET7!?! I'm running 195/45/16's on ET35 and they are perfect - a width of 205 and 40 profile would also be ok.
mikehiow 0 Posted February 5, 2009 I have a Corrado VR6, I may have misread the offset, it was just at quick glance in the dark. I was planning on getting 45 profile tyres tbh, any recommendations? I'm after something with a good "bang for buck" (ie. Something that performs well, for a decent price) - They don't particularly have to last long - just until I'm in a better position to buy better tyres :) (and after having to buy a new coilpack today, now isn't that time :( )
Supercharged 2 Posted February 6, 2009 TBH there is not much difference in price between cheap and good tyres to make it worth skimping I bought 4 Pirelli P Zero Nero's in 195/45/16 for £200 from Best Buy Tyres and got a free Pirelli bag with them... best tyres i've ever used tbh - I can't even tell the difference between a wet and a dry day they are so good. If you want to save a bit I think the Rainsport 2's are slightly cheaper and also superb tyres.
