Knocking noise from left rear

Hey guys

 

Whenever i drive over bumps in the road or under heavy accelerating, i get a strange knocking noise from the near side rear, i havnt had the car for a year yet and i think the previous owner fitted lowering springs onto the original shocks,

 

any ideas?

I think you've answered your own question there if he has re-used the original shocks!!

 

If your going to do them make sure you change the upper spring plate as these rust and become very dangerous

yeah was thinking it might be the suspension, getting coilovers and new bearings soon so hopefully it should cure it lol

Or could be your exhaust hitting the underside if its loose.

also check all the brake caliper and carrier bolts, i had a knocking noise from the rear for a while turned out one of the carrier 8mm allen bolts had started to come loose :shock:
