simonblick 0 Posted February 23, 2009 Just wondering how much it might cost me to get the Head skimmed on my 16v. Planning on doing an engine overhaul, so any suggestions on what parts to replace. Si
Jim 2 Posted February 23, 2009 Hi mate - you should get on the search ideally as this has been discussed a bit lately (16v rebuild options, etc). Some examples: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=76132 viewtopic.php?f=1&t=76452 Cheers.

jonny-5 0 Posted February 24, 2009 Head skims are usually about 40 quid
Jim 2 Posted February 24, 2009 I'd buy everything from VW! It'll cost you twice as much as it would from somewhere like GSF but it'll last you more than twice as long :)
Supercharged 2 Posted February 24, 2009 That sort of stuff will actually be cheaper through TPS than GSF etc - service parts are really well priced now and GSF seem to be less competitive.
simonblick 0 Posted February 24, 2009 TPS being? Si
