paul20v 0 Posted February 28, 2009 hi strange i know but will i have any issues putting a 16v/g60 rear axle on a vr6 , why you ask i want 9x16 on the rear and i will surely have less arch mods with a 4 stud axle , or is this not a worth while mod as i dont know how much difference there actually is any help or ridicule welcome :D
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted February 28, 2009 Its the discs that determine the stud pattern,so the stubs are all the same bar the width of the axel,so swap away!
paul20v 0 Posted February 28, 2009 i thought is was just the discs to do the studs as there as one hub and disc , is there any axle mount issues and what the width difference in axles Paul
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted February 28, 2009 The axel mount the same to the body, the stub axels are the same bar the early i think had no abs sensor holders, but it does not matter as you can just fit over your stuff to the narrow aexl. width? i dont know mate. But its something like 10mm either side wider on the VR
paul20v 0 Posted February 28, 2009 Thanks for the info mate , 10mm per side is well worth the mod i think as that will make the et from 15 to 25 which is great thanks for the info now all i have todo is hunt for a g60 or 16v axle :)
