vr6 running problems

hi all

just after a bit of advise on my vr6,i will explain the best i can :sleeping:

 

after a fast run when i let the revs down and boot it again i some times get a puff of black smoke,this only happens when i have given a full 7k on the rev counter,under normal to moderate driving it does not happen.

 

there is a load of black soot in the end of the exhaust and a strong smell of petrol.

 

any idears what this could be?

Advanced search:

Search on Engine Bay and return threads rather than posts.

 

Sounds like it's overfuelling - possibly lamda related.
