Need Garage or Mechanic for VR6 in Aberdeen

My VR6 is ill :( For me is not running on all 6 cylinders, probably coilpack problem.

 

I'm looking for good mechanic or garage who know VR6 problems in Aberdeen.

 

Everyone who know something or somebody in Aberdeen give me some directions where to go ?? Please.

What exactly is the problem? If its coilpack can you not just replace it, Im pretty sure its not that hard.

 

There is the Aberdeen Volks Centre out at Kingswells but never used them. I think theres one down near Pittotdrie as well.

I know that in Kingsweels, but newer used, that's why I'm asking.

 

If I would be sure that is coilpack in 100% I would replace it but I'm not 100% sure.

One of the easiest diy diagnoses this IMO.

 

Open bonnet with engine idling.

Spray water onto coil pack with plant mister. If engine falters more and you can see arcing (best do this in the shade) coilpack is a culprit.

If coilpack is over 10 years old it is almost certainly suffering from hairline cracks in the plastic casing.

Very common fault.
