Anyone know of a guide on how to open then VR6 alternator

I want to open up the Bosch 120amp alternator on my VR6 to clanup the aluminium housing, anyone have any tips or guides to how I can do it?.

 

Also any idea if the housing can be powdercoated, or will that make the alternator to not work?.

ive gone as far as taking the plastic housing off and changingthe regulator which is straight forward. Check vortex there was some info on there how to split the alternator further

hmmm, ok, any idea where to find the thread about it?, tried to search for it but comes up with many hits....

 

Also any idea about powdercoating the housing?
