bad-a55 0 Posted May 31, 2009 Hi all havent been on here for years, i have just bought back my 1.8 16v that i sold to a freind 2years ago because he desided to side swipe another car so i said i would give him £200 for it!! Now the reson i sold the car in the first place was cos it was to slow so now i am thinking rip out the 16v and put something in a bit meaty. It wont be used as daily driver would like to take round the track tho so just trying to find out wat will be the best bang for the bucks. Do i use the engine and but throttle bodies on it and bottom end as it already has stainless manifold and exhaust. i have never owned or driven a VR6 so this could be a option. or do i 1.8T which i understand can be a expensive route. I understand it is all about what i want but wat do you recon will make me smill the most? Thanks for any help. Richard
dragon green 5 Posted May 31, 2009 IF you check out the threads in the "engine" section i`am sure you wil find the answers 1.8T isnt that expensive if you do the work yourself, thats your easiest option, VR6 route you have to change subframe, driveshafts etc etc someone will be along shortly with far more knowledge then i have
