diarmaid16 1 Posted June 9, 2009 Hello all, A few minutes from home this evening the temperature light came on in the corrado. When i parked it up there was steam pouring out from under the bonnet. After a look i found that the hose going from the top of the rad to the engine had deveoped a small hole. There was barely any water left in the car. The temperature light has been coming on a bit lately but ive just kept topping up the coolant. In traffic the temperature wont go above 90/100 degrees. Ive had the car a year and its my first corrado so im not that knowledgable on them! Will a new hose fix it or is the head gasket on the way out?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Jim 2 Posted June 9, 2009 Get a new hose on it (not toooo outrageous from Volkswagen) and refill with VW G12+ mixed according to the instructions on the bottle. Lets not think about the headgasket just yet :) Sounds like your thermostat might be sticking open if your temps are staying so low!
