G60 Fuel rail and pipes

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Looking for a bit of help if possible?

What pipes go to A, B, C and D on my G60 rail?

I've done it this way but have no idea if it's correct:

A = Main Fuel Feed Pipe

B = Blocked this off

C = Small tube to the inlet

D = Return Fuel Pipe

Can anyone tell me if this is correct or wrong? if wrong whats the correct way? Any pics?

Thanks alot :D

Ok, 1 out of 4 :)

A = Goes to the after-run pressure switch via a small hose

B = is the Main feed in from the black pipe

C = Goes to the Inlet manifold (this vac pipe controls fuel pressure)

D = Goes to the blue return from the FPR

Assume this is an engine conversion but if you can I would recommend using new pipes (and clips) from VW as these a shaped and last ages compared to bog standard pipe.

Excellent, I wasnt too far off then haha.

I have a Mk1 Golf GTi which the fuel rail is fitted to but i'm also after buying a Corrado G60 or VR6 in the next few months.

Incase your wondering why i've fitted a G60 rail to a Mk1 GTi 1.9 8v? well the reason is because it is to be turbo charged and i have fitted an Emerald K3 ECU for the 3 map settings. :D

I decided to check the fuel supply because when i try to start the car it is backfiring. I'm guessing this is down to either fueling or timing?

Probably down to no fuel pressure regulation if you have C blocked off... you need to take a feed from the inlet manifolf or the pipe that goes to the brake servo (if fitted)
