eugopnosaj 0 Posted October 4, 2009 Ok guys im currently doing my 1st rebuild on my rado. I need to replace the head as its firing through 2 cylinders, ive got a replacement head from another 'rado both are 2l 9a engines however without a handbook i don't know the correct torque settings for the bolts (or the order of fitting etc). Can anyone let me know what they are and anything else i might need to know, im doing it with my dad and he is very experienced at rebuilding engines. Thanks Jason
Swompy 0 Posted October 4, 2009 The only thing i can suggest is to get your hands on bentley repair manual for a passat. Sounds strange I know but the bentley manual for the corrado doesnt cover the 9a engine. The passat has the same 2lt 16v 9a engine in it and is preaty usfull with all the torque settings This is it on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Volkswagen-Passat-Service-Manual-1990-1993/dp/0837603781/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1254677790&sr=8-

Swompy 0 Posted October 4, 2009 No worrys the reason the corrado manual doesnt cover the 9a engine is because the US never got that version of the car but they got the passat  o well Good luck with your rebuild
