C488ADO 0 Posted October 13, 2009 Ok some vr6's are auto's...yes some have switches that say E /S im guessing economy and sport mode?? so what is the difference between the two versions? is it the same ecu mapping? are they there for show? was it an option? if so how much? as i have just purchased a new gear surround and this switch has come to my attention if i wanted to wire it up could i? what would i need? loads of Q's but i just fancied knowing... cheers Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fla 9 Posted October 13, 2009 you could do, but the later autos did not have it, the TCM was adaptive and gearchange was controlled by how you drove it. Mapping was the same, but with it in S, it would hold 3rd gear for longer. The problem is that with this being a hydraulic change you would lose power in the drivetrain.
