rob1234 0 Posted January 3, 2010 Just been watching the old Top Gear Corrado review ( ). At about 1.55, he says the limiter cuts in harshly at 6200rpm - but his tacho redline starts at 7k. Is this usual?! PS I have a VR6 - is there any gain to having a higher rev-limit?
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted January 3, 2010 there was probably revisions made later on or as that was a press car VW made it not rev as high to protect the engine ?

You can modify the map to increase the cut off, but not the best idea unless the engine is heavily modified, and requires it.
Supercharged 2 Posted January 3, 2010 Well spotted - must have only had 16V clocks available - bl00dy Karmann! You don't really ever want to rev a G60 past 6k anyhow, no need on an 8v Also spot that the bonnet looks slightly open on some corners and the rear lights don't line up - shoddy for a press car! Good overall review though
