My Corrado VR6 seized up! But I have a R32 egine

Hello folks,

 

I am writing from the sunny Spain. I have a Corrado VR6 from 1995 and the engine is KO!

 

Fortunately, I have a friend who had an accident with a VW Golf R32 240hp so I am thinking to buy it and change my broken engine with the R32.

 

Is this possible?

Will the R32 engine fit into the Corrado engine's place?

If it is possible...Do I need to change everything? (I mean ball bearings, driveshaft, steering column, cooling system, front-wheel drive...that is, all parts below the hood)

 

Where is the best place to make this project in UK? (The car has got a LHD)

 

How much would be it?

Definately possible, and has been done. Have a look at thisthread.

 

Don't know what effect the LHD will have, it may be covered in the thread as I haven't read it all.
