oli82 0 Posted January 21, 2004 i have a '95 VR6. i have put 18" oz alloys on it and lowered it 35mm on gmax springs. the ride is now very hard. what could i do to soften the ride without compromising handling....?
dubster82 0 Posted January 21, 2004 try smaller wheels with bigger tyres, this will not compomise handling, in fact, it will make it better!! :D
oli82 0 Posted January 21, 2004 i'm not really up for changing wheels cos i only just got them. i was more thinking if changing the shocks or springs would make a big difference?
dr_mat 0 Posted January 22, 2004 Maybe, but not in a good way. I've not tried myself, but I imagine it would be difficult to find after-market shocks/springs that are *softer* than the original equipment. Plus the fact that your originals are likely to be pretty worn by now and softer than usual... You might get somewhere by replacing the top mounts - these tend to squish and harden with age, but to be honest you're gonna have to live with it as a trade off for the large, low profile wheels you're running... Unless anyone else knows different?
