muppetlab 0 Posted February 11, 2010 Damn it i cant belive it, weeks of getting the ole girl ready and she failed. All that panic as wether it would pass emissions, wether the lack of abs would be a fail and what does it fail on? Spongy pedal and leaking front flexi brake hose. Guess brake hoses must be instant fail as its hardly wet at all. Spongy pedal is caused by the air in the rear calipers from the swop last week. So only a couple of little bits to sort this week and its all go for another year :D Just got the works van until its back on the road :(

muppetlab 0 Posted February 12, 2010 Just got to wait for parts. i am going to upgrade the front hoses to match the rears while i am doing the job. Might as well do it properly as the hoses i have on were a bodge by a previous owner when they did the porsche caliper conversion. Hopefully this is the last of the bodges for a while. Cant understand the mentality of some people bodging cars especially stuff like brakes. I i do a job i do it properly. if a hose looks like its bending and stretching past what it should i get it sorted, i dont just say oh well it will do, if it breaks i have three other brakes on the car hopefully they will stop me as i spin down the road towards oncoming traffic at 70mph :brickwall:
