ok got a strange one got intermitent firing

my car is a G60 stage 4 with the sns anti lag chip

 

 

ok strange one only misses on tick over never on full load acceralation

 

so also when your on over run (hard accleration then your coasting back down to a sensible speed)

 

but its intermitent ive checked the air pot and its bang on 500 ohms but dont know the age of it can these play up break down ?

 

i know ive got a sensor playing up some where any ideas

its driving me silly

isv or idle s/w on throttle body would be my guess

idel switch is fine as i click it with my hand when half open thottle and changes the engine running so it must be working although it could play up i guess i take it there peanuts from the dealers i might just change it

 

 

any ideas how to check the isv valve ??

I'd look at leads first... one trick is to clip a timing light to each one in turn to see if you can see a missfire.

lambda probe can cause this sometimes too.

brand new lamba probe only last year,

brand new plugs two years ago and a brand new set of magcore leads aswell

i found it so im sharing it cus this one a good one

 

relay 30 (fuel relay )main pin to the contacts had fractured the soldier connection on the little board inside

 

but heres the killer the copper brad that connects to the relay from the board rest across the same pin hence making a intermitent connection so on full power it makes it cus of the surge of force but off load the car abit more loose so it was flopping about hitting and missing making a connection what a bas***d

 

lets hope this is it !!!!!!
