How do i align my 16 v clutch without proper tool

Do i have to buy a clutch aligning tool or is there any clever ways to do it without the tool :) cos im fed up with spending money on this rebuild :lol: Any ideas please... :)

I've got a spare alignment tool left over from various cooked clutchs,it's only the shiyte plastic

affair but it works no problem.

Let me know if you need it.

Well thats very kind of you :) I will have a go with a socket first though as dbug said.

get one that just fits inside the clutch, centre the plate behind the pressure plate and tighten the bolts like a cylinder head. once you get a bite remove the socket and tighten up. even if your a few mm out on the centre point it will sort itself out as you get it on the input shaft.
